Scan a Long Document for What Matters Before You Read It — Free

Paste a document's section lines and the sheet sorts them by the signal each carries, so the three that need a decision are separated from the background before you commit to reading twenty-two pages.

What this replaces

Reading a long document front to back spends the most attention on the background and the least on the deadline. This sorts the sections you paste by the signal they carry, so the dated and costly ones come first and the background is marked as skimmable.

Tool note. This runs entirely in your browser — no account, no upload, no paid API key. Google NotebookLM is named as the free source-grounded reading path for the material you paste; its published free-tier terms were checked on 2026-09-13 and can change.

The four passes

01

Collect the smallest useful input

One section heading or key line per line, as they appear in the document.

02

Let the sheet sort them

Each line is matched to a signal lane and ranked by urgency.

03

Read the dated and money lanes first

Those are the ones that commit you to something.

04

Skim the background lane

It is there for context, not for decisions.

The board below runs in your browser. It opens with a worked sample so the result is visible before you paste anything; switch scenarios, edit the text, or reset to the sample.

Everything you paste stays in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and no request leaves the page to generate the result; clearing site data removes anything saved locally.

What breaks, and what to do

Sections pasted as one block

The reader counts lines; split them.

A section carrying two signals

The highest urgency wins; that is deliberate.

Signals implied but unstated

Only the words you pasted are matched.

The free board above is the whole loop. The paid tier keeps the arranged output so you do not rebuild it.
