Count Travel Documents Back From Departure — Free

Paste your departure date and what you still need, and the clock counts back through the document windows, marking the ones that have already closed rather than letting you assume there is time.

What this replaces

Travel checklists list documents without dates, which is how a passport renewal gets started three weeks before a flight. This counts back from your departure date, so a window that needs ninety days is marked as shut while there is still a different route available.

Tool note. This runs entirely in your browser — no account, no upload, no paid API key. Google NotebookLM is named as the free source-grounded reading path for the material you paste; its published free-tier terms were checked on 2026-09-13 and can change.

The four passes

01

Collect the smallest useful input

Departure date, passport expiry, and anything you still need to arrange.

02

Let the clock count back

Each document is dated with the slack remaining.

03

Treat a closed window as urgent

A passport that cannot be renewed in time is a different problem from a late form.

04

Confirm requirements with the official source

Entry rules change; this page only counts from the date you gave it.

The board below runs in your browser. It opens with a worked sample so the result is visible before you paste anything; switch scenarios, edit the text, or reset to the sample.

first-load · sample values are illustrative, not verified facts

Everything you paste stays in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and no request leaves the page to generate the result; clearing site data removes anything saved locally.

What breaks, and what to do

Passport expiry not stated

The validity step cannot be checked; add the date.

Multiple destinations

Run one trip at a time; windows differ per country.

Rules that changed recently

Nothing here checks current entry rules; use the official government source.

Go deeper — Document Clock

The free board above is the whole loop. The paid tier keeps the arranged output so you do not rebuild it.

  • Printable clock with the document windows boxed for a folder — estimate: 20 minutes saved per trip, basis: 5 documents re-dated at ~4 minutes each
  • Saved local history across trips — estimate: 14 minutes saved per trip, basis: re-entering trip details at ~14 minutes
