Turn Money Stress Into a Budget Conversation Agenda
The money talk fails when it starts as a fight about who spent what. This turns the goals and the stress points into a neutral agenda — what to gather first, the questions to ask, and the ground rules that keep it a conversation. Local only; nothing leaves the tab.

The workflow
Name the goals as things you want, not numbers you disagree on
'A month of expenses saved' is a goal; 'you spend too much' is an accusation. The agenda only accepts the first kind, because goals are shared and accusations are not.
Write the stress points as neutral topics
'The credit card bill' is a topic; 'your credit card' is a fight. The reframe is the whole trick — the agenda takes the heat out before the talk starts.
Gather the numbers before you talk
The agenda's first section is a short list of what to bring: the last two months of spending, the bills, the debts. Numbers gathered ahead mean the talk starts from facts, not memory.
Follow the ground rules, all of them
One person talks, the other repeats back. No numbers dropped as weapons. Stop at 45 minutes. The rules are the container that keeps a money talk from becoming a money fight.
Worked example
Sample: two goals and two stress points Goals 2 (save a month of expenses, pay down the card) Stress points 2 (the credit card, the grocery bill) Questions 4 (one per topic, neutral) Ground rules 4 Uploaded nothing — built in the tab
Numbers above are sample data produced by the tool's own pre-loaded example, run in the browser — not averages or measured benchmarks.
What breaks this
Writing stress points as blame ('your card') undoes the reframe — name the topic, not the person. Skipping the gather step means the talk starts from memory and becomes a fight about who remembers wrong; bring the numbers. Dropping the ground rules halfway is how a neutral agenda turns back into the old argument — they all apply, the whole time.
Try it now
Two goals and two stress points are loaded and turned into an agenda. Replace them with your own and re-build the talk.
