Make a Savings-Match Promise with an Explicit Cap — Free
A matching promise can cost more than expected when nobody writes down the ceiling. Show the contribution earned by each saver under a clear per-person cap before agreeing to fund it.
The proof surface
Savings-goal timelines estimate weeks remaining. This calculates a family contribution under a percent-and-cap promise, not how quickly a child reaches a goal.
Why the flat version breaks
Re-matching last month’s savings
Only newly eligible amounts belong in the current calculation.
Applying one shared cap unintentionally
This cap applies separately to each saver, not to the entire family.
Adding the original savings to the promise
The output contains the matching contribution alone.
How to work the savings-match receipt
Use amounts from the agreed period and exclude money already matched. Aliases are sufficient; no names, accounts or transaction records are required.
Fifty means a fifty percent match: half the eligible savings. Rates above 100 can represent a deliberate greater-than-one-for-one promise, up to this tool’s 1000 percent limit.
Match = min(saved amount × rate ÷ 100, cap). Thirty at 50 percent earns 15; sixty at 50 percent would earn 30 but stops at the sample cap of 20.
Flagged rows were limited by the cap. The total is the family’s added contribution, not the combined savings balance. Discuss the terms fairly before applying them.
What the savings-match receipt replaces
| Question | Before | Visible working |
|---|---|---|
| Re-matching last month’s savings | Only newly eligible amounts belong in the current calculation. | Write the match rate explicitly |
| Applying one shared cap unintentionally | This cap applies separately to each saver, not to the entire family. | Apply the cap to each saver |
| Adding the original savings to the promise | The output contains the matching contribution alone. | Check the total family commitment |

FIRST-LOAD
Research prototype — checkout unavailable. Input is processed locally and a draft is saved automatically in this browser profile when storage is available. Reset to sample clears that draft; Pro history has its own clear button. A state link encodes your inputs in its URL: share only non-sensitive rows. Browser history, clipboard and anyone receiving the link may retain it. Optional AI use below leaves this device; it is not required.
Household arithmetic only, not financial, tax or investment advice. Use aliases and agree terms without pressure; the tool does not move or hold money.
Data note: Everything runs in this browser tab on the savings-match receipt: your saver alias | eligible saved amount | matching percent stays on this device, nothing is uploaded, and the reading is rebuilt only when you press run.
Go deeper: the companion app files the same reading as a till receipt with a tear-off foot
The article demo above runs without limits. The companion app keeps a local history, exports the rows as CSV, prints the savings-match receipt reading, and holds your drafts on this device — one complete free run; the proposed $4 one-time filing layer is not currently for sale.
The savings-match receipt reading is complete for free. The optional $4 layer adds print, row CSV and the last five local reading summaries; it does not add hidden answers. Checkout is not configured yet; the article demo remains unlimited.

What this is built on
- Method: Match = min(saved amount × rate ÷ 100, cap). Thirty at 50 percent earns 15; sixty at 50 percent would earn 30 but stops at the sample cap of 20.
- All sample records are invented examples. The app does not fetch measurements, policies, files or personal records.
- Google’s official pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, lists free-tier access including AI Studio. Optional formatting only; limits and availability can change. Free-tier content may be used to improve products. Never paste private records there.
Before: Only newly eligible amounts belong in the current calculation. After: the savings-match receipt shows the working beside each named row so the reader can change the assumption and inspect the consequence.
Optional AI formatting, not calculation
For this savings-match receipt, use the free AI Studio interface only if available to you, with no paid API key. Manual entry completes the same workflow for free. Supply only fictional or non-sensitive notes. Review its output against the source; never paste unresolved questions into the numeric rows.
Format my non-sensitive notes for a savings-match receipt. Return plain rows only: saver alias | eligible saved amount | matching percent. Preserve supplied quantities exactly. Do not guess missing values; list questions separately. Do not calculate or add advice. I will check every row before pasting into the local tool.
Accepted schema: saver alias | eligible saved amount | matching percent. No AI response is executed as code.
