The workflow
Set the date, then work backward from it
The board hangs every task off your move date: book the van at week 6, change address at week 3, pack the kitchen last. Back-dating is the whole trick — you see what's already late on day one.
Pick the home size honestly
A studio is a weekend; a three-bedroom is a month. The board scales the packing tasks to the size you pick, so a small move doesn't get padded and a big one doesn't get shorted.
Do the 'book' tasks before the 'pack' tasks
Vans, lifts, and utility shutoffs have lead times; boxes don't. The board separates them so you're not packing early while the van you needed last week is already gone.
Mark the week you're actually in

What breaks this
Setting the date in the past marks everything late at once — the board still works, but you'll be catching up, not planning. Under-picking the size leaves a three-bedroom worth of stuff on a studio timeline — pick the real size.
