Pack to the Baggage Scale With a Carry-On Split — Free

Weigh what you are taking and the scale totals it against the allowance on your ticket, so the repacking happens at home rather than on the airport floor with the queue behind you.

What this replaces

Packing lists tell you what to bring and ignore the one number the airline enforces. This adds the weights against the allowance on your ticket, so the two kilos that have to come out are decided at home instead of under airport lighting.

Tool note. This runs entirely in your browser — no account, no upload, no paid API key. Google NotebookLM is named as the free source-grounded reading path for the material you paste; its published free-tier terms were checked on 2026-09-13 and can change.

The four passes

01

Collect the smallest useful input

The allowance on the first line, then one item per line with its weight.

02

Let the scale add them

Each item is counted and the final row is the bag against the allowance.

03

Take out the heaviest low-value item

Boots worn on the plane weigh nothing to the airline.

04

Recheck after any swap

A coat moved into hand luggage changes both totals.

The board below runs in your browser. It opens with a worked sample so the result is visible before you paste anything; switch scenarios, edit the text, or reset to the sample.

Everything you paste stays in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and no request leaves the page to generate the result; clearing site data removes anything saved locally.

What breaks, and what to do

Allowance omitted

Nothing to compare against; state it on the first line.

Items with no weight

Read as zero, which flatters the total.

Cabin and hold mixed

Run each bag separately; allowances differ.

The free board above is the whole loop. The paid tier keeps the arranged output so you do not rebuild it.
