How to work the sample spool
Use channels written to disk, including isolated tracks you intend to keep. A stereo mix has two channels, while an eight-channel capture is not eight stereo pairs.
This tool fixes depth at 24 bits, or three bytes per sample. Enter the intended sample rate in hertz; 48 kHz is 48000, not 48.
Minutes times sixty times channels times sample rate times three gives payload bytes. Divide by one million for decimal MB; the interview master alone is 777.6 MB.
File headers, alternate takes, backups and editor caches are excluded. Inspect a real test recording and budget those separately; never delete the only original to meet this estimate.
