Privacy and data handling
The short version: the text you paste into a GratisAI tool stays in your browser. We do not receive it, store it, or send it to a model provider.
What runs where
- Every tool on this site is a static page. The tool logic runs in your browser tab.
- Text you type or paste — letters, bills, medical notes, family messages, civic documents — is processed locally and is never transmitted to GratisAI.
- We operate no account system. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile to delete.
What is stored on your device
Tools use your browser's localStorage to keep work available when you return:
gratisai:<app-slug>:pro_unlocked— a flag recording that an optional paid extra was purchased for that one tool in that one browser.- Optional per-tool drafts and history, also scoped to the tool's own slug.
Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it. Nothing is synced to a server, and one tool cannot read another tool's stored state.
The unlock is a convenience, not a security control
Because the flag lives in your browser, the paid extras are unlocked per browser and per tool. Using a different browser, a different device, or a private window means the extras are not unlocked there. This is a deliberate trade: no account, no tracking, no server-side profile of what you worked on. If you lose access to a purchase you made, contact support and we will help.
Payments
Checkout is handled by Stripe. When you choose to buy an optional extra, you leave this site for Stripe's hosted checkout and return with a confirmation parameter in the URL. Stripe receives your payment details; we never see or store a card number. Stripe's handling of that data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Analytics and third parties
- Pages are served as static files. Some pages load web fonts from a font CDN; that request exposes your IP address to the CDN in the normal way any web request does.
- Hosting infrastructure keeps standard, short-lived request logs.
- We do not run advertising trackers, and any product measurement is limited to counting anonymous interaction events — never the content you paste, and never your stored state.
Children
These tools are intended for adults. Several are written to help adults support children (school, care, family logistics); they are not directed at children themselves.
